What if the pillow does not affect the body?
- Sep 14, 2018 -

When I go to bed in summer, it's hot, uncovered and cold to turn on the air-conditioning cover. When I get up in the morning, the pillows are wet and sweaty. I'm not used to other pillows. What if I don't use them? Will it be bad for your health?

Sleeping without pillow is not good for cervical vertebra. The pillow's function is to keep the head and lumbar spine in balance so that the cervical spine is not compressed; the height of the pillow is suitable for sleeping on the back from 5 to 8 cm; the height of the pillow is 7 to 12 cm for women and 11 to 14 cm for men, depending on the width of each person's shoulders, when sleeping on the side. Suitable pillow heights can keep the cervical spine from discomfort during sleep, but not everyone will sleep in the same position, often alternating between supine and lateral lying. So when choosing pillows, the pillow height is 8 to 10 centimeters, and the male pillow can be increased by 2 centimeters.

Experts point out that it is best to choose a pillow that can maintain normal physiological curvature of the neck regardless of sleeping and sleeping. Adults should lie on the back with a height of 15~20 cm on the supine position and a height of about 20~15 cm on the side. Because each person's cervical spine is different, so tailoring different healthy pillows may be our best choice.
